pick your battles i suppose...

for those of you who were blessed by seeing my kids, i will have to email the pics to you... God has taught me a lot about myself and my responses to things lately...

once again, i can be having a good day and the enemy (not a person) sets those little snares again... but i have a choice in this battle... i do not have to be defeated and let crap keep me down for God has promised me things and that is what i will cling to...

i think there are some though too that we just do not have to fight... this is a good example... some would say that i am being a wus and allowing people to push me around, but i don't think so... i feel that i need to pick my battles and this one may not be worth fighting... why antagoize?? it will be worth sitting back and allowing God to lead in this situation down the road and actually He is today because He gives peace... there once was a day when this type of thing would consume me for days and just mess me up because it would frustrate me so, but not today... "where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom..." i am not bound by bitterness...

this is definately not a scottie promotional thing either... this freedom from all these snares is there for all those who are in Christ Jesus and that ain't just me... rest in God and let Him give you peace; even in your most frustrating times... He will...

and thanks lisa... they are beautiful boys aren't they... i love my boys...

Hey Scottie,

Thanks for the encouragement. Even though we have never met Kayla tells me about all the BBCers, so I feel that I do know you.

As far as the Dan Miller info check out www.48days.com. There is a book and a workbook, I'm still not sure if they are both necessary or if they cover the same information in each. You can buy the books from his website or you can look on christianbook.com or amazon.

Hope this is helpful. Take care and keeping looking to the Father.

God Bless,
Dane

Hey Scotty!

It's been a long time since we have chatted (it's Heather saying Hi all the way from Ottawa...remember? your volleyball friend!)

I am not sure what happened here, but I can only guess. I am sorry you had to take your pictures down, I almost fell out of my chair when I saw vaughn!! he is such a big boy now, and looks so much like his daddy...you must be very proud.

Thankfully God gives us peace during the hard times, other wise no one would be left on this earth!

Take care Scotty!

I just got back from a Family Life marriage conference and it has opened my eyes to a lot of things I've been hanging on to. For instance, a lot of anger toward you for the horrible way you treated me during our marriage. But, I know that I need to let that go so that I can continue with my spiritual growth. So, as part of what was taught, I must forgive you. So, here goes:
I forgive you for all of the nastiness that I have gone through at your hands.
Now, I ask, can you forgive me?
Emily

thanks aj i think, i appreciate everyone's words here (good and bad), but this conversation on this blog ends now... everyone has opinions on this matter, but this is not the forum to address it at... everybody please just pray... there is a healing work that is necessary here and God needs to be at the center of it... i praise God that He has healed me over the past 2 years and that He is not finished with this situation... please just pray...

Hey Scottie, I just happened by and thought I would share a little thought. Being a single mom and having dated a dad with weekend access I have seen both sides of the story. As the mom I know what it's like to have to let your child go and I remember before Deanna was born and for the first year I fought it the whole way. I was angry, tired, stressed trying to do it by myself. Then through God's help I realized that I didn't need to do it by myself. She had a father who could help out, who loved her, who wanted to spend time with her, and she needed him in her life as well to be that father figure to know that he loved her. I am glad that God has shown me that it is not worth the fight, not for anyones sake especially the childrens, but they do need both parents happy and healthy. I just pray that things will turn out as good for you.
